Description

RARE! RARE! RARE!


My father loved his record collection. It consists of about 800 - 1,000 records. My mom packed them up when he passed away. We are now offering some of them for sale. I am not a collector so please email me if you have any questions.  

 

I was excited to come across this record. My dad was an American who traveled the world with his job. He worked in Pakistan for a few years and so it happens to be my birthplace. He must have acquired it there in  1956 or 1957.

Elvis Presley – Ultra Rare ~ 78 ~ Manufactured in Pakistan by the Gramophone Company of Pakistan, Ltd. His Masters Voice Record KDF. 24  “Rock ‘N Roll” Side One: Tryin’ To Get You (Singleton-Mecoy) (Mecolico)  Side Two: One Sided Love Affair (Campbell) (Chappell). 


I believe that both of these songs were also on Elvis' 1956 RCA debut album.


I have no idea how to grade the condition. Please examine the pictures.  I have done my best in giving an accurate description and offer a guarantee that it is as described. Please refer to my return policy.


Record is in used condition. I have not attempted to clean it because I do not know how and think it is best left to professionals. It has many superficial marks, scuffs and smudges but I did play it and it sounded good. There is no skipping whatsoever. It does have the expected background noise but I think this may lessen with a good cleaning.

 

Sleeve is the original printed paper depicting a middle eastern dancer and sitar? player on one side and the HMV copyright & registration information on the other. There are folds and multiple small tears, discoloration as well as ragged edges along the top, however there are no side or bottom splits other than about an inch at the top of one side and about ½ inch at the bottom. 


Label is fully legible and depicts the half moon image of the dog with gramophone. Please see the pictures to see condition.
