Description
This is a VERY rare recording of the "ELVIS" Lpm 1382 record.
For collectors, this album had 2 different "recording" sessions or "takes". The first was cancelled, supposedly because the music was not quite right. And Elvis had several lines where the word AND was added such as the line "....he grew old AND his eyes were growing dim.." There is NO AND in the second take. The first take was mistakenly pressed, but caught shortly after they realized it. You can tell the rare copy by the matrix number. It ends in "15s, 17s, or 19s". Mine is 17s. All other copies DO NOT HAVE THIS MATRIX.
As further proof, you have to listen to the 2 versions. The AND version is in at least 2 sentences.
VERY few copies exist. I have been told less than 50. Book value is $800 to $1,000.
Cover is very nice. Record is nice, but not mint. I would rate is good to very good.
