ELVIS PRESLEY LP - BLANK/WHITE LABELS & COVER - MYSTERY DOUBLE ALBUM (MONAURAL)

Please see the details for this album listed below.  I guarantee the authenticity of all records.  I use Goldmine grading standards as guidance for grading my albums.  Please ask any questions/make comments prior to bidding.

ELVIS PRESLEY LP - BLANK/WHITE LABELS & COVER - MYSTERY DOUBLE ALBUM (MONAURAL) 

This album consists of two records with blank white labels in a single blank white cover and two plain sleeves.  The paper has been discolored with age.  THE SOURCE OF RECORD 1 IS UNKNOWN!!  I can only guess at the origin but it seems to have been made by somebody close to Elvis and RCA. The only identfying mark on either the records or the cover is the writing in the run off areas on the records:

1. "9-TKRWM 1816A" & "9-TKRWM 1816B"
2. "9 IMP 1108-A" & "9 IMP 1108-B"

Record 1 begins with girls screaming as new RCA recording artist Elvis Presley is introduced at a live performance promoting his new Twentieth Century Fox movie "Love Me Tender" (1956).  Elvis goes on to sing "Ready to Rock n Roll", "Hound Dog", and "Don't Be Cruel".  This is followed by an appearance on Ed Sullivan during which he again sings "Love Me Tender", "Love Me" (1956) from his new album, and "Hound Dog".  That concludes Side 1.  On Side 2 he sings "Rags to Riches", "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", and three or four other songs.  Sound quality on side 1 is cracky and poppy.  Side 2 is better.

Record 2 (it appears that "IMP-1108 Rock My Soul" is a known Bootleg released by Teddy Bear Records in 1974) begins with a radio announcer from WHBQ in Memphis saying good morning followed by a short instrumental of "Don't Be Cruel" (1957) followed by Elvis live as he interacts with the crowd.  Then it's on to Elvis on Ed Sullivan again singing "Ready to Rock n Roll" (1957).  That's followed by a live performance of Elvis singing "That's All Right Mama" (1957) followed by Elvis singing harmonies including "Lead Me, Guide Me", "Bosom of Abraham",  and other songs (Gospel Studio Outtakes 1960).  Side 2 begins with a stage director instructing somebody to turn on the house lights.  Elvis begins to talk with the audience and then sings "Funny How Time Slips Away" (Richmond, VA, 1972), "DixieBattle Hymn of the Republic" medley (Richmond), "I Got A Woman" (Dayton, Ohio 1972), "Big Hunk Of Love" (Dayton ~ sounds like Jerry Lee Lewis playing piano?), other songs, and concludes with "You Gave Me a Mountain" (Dayton).  Sound quality on Record 2 is better.  

I have played these records twice - the second time to make notes for this listing.  I have owned the album for about ten years.

Cover:  NEAR MINT - Nice condition, although it's blank.  See photo.

Record2:  NEAR MINT - 2 Nice glossy records!!  Clean labels without any markings.  NOTHING to affect play other than the quality of the original recording.  See photo.
