Description
ELVIS PRESLEY “GOOD ROCKIN’ TONIGHT” EP German RCA EPA-9562 Side One: Good Rockin’ Tonight / Blue Moon Of Kentucky Side Two: Milk Cow Blues Boogie / That’s All Right German pressing (All tracks recorded in 1954). Condition: SLEEVE Clean with slight creasing at right edge as illustrated / RECORD Near Mint or M-. DESCRIPTION This 45 RPM record is the original high quality German version without the later “Victor” on its labels or sleeve. Its condition shows that previous owner[s] took good care of it over the past 59 years. Record surfaces retain their original vinyl sheen with little wear, which does not affect the listening experience. The sleeve front is in good condition with slight blemishes as shown while its back has an authentic UK import market code red sticker on it but is without defects. The dust particles shown on the record are within the scanner and not on the playing surfaces. RELATED DETAILS This EP was originally released in Canada and Germany in 1957 as well as the UK [on HMV 7EG 8256 with a B/W sleeve and one different track “Just Because”]. This EP’s title track was also the A side of Elvis’ 2nd Sun 210 single issued in September 1954. Also featured are his 1st and 3rd singles for Sun 209 and 215 respectively and the former’s flip. Notwithstanding the key exposure of the 3 [Sun] A sides, “Blue Moon Of Kentucky" was responsible for this record's commercial success. None of these tracks were issued in UK or Europe first time round so this EP gave these highly influential performances a profile of their own for the 1st time outside of the United States.
