Description

ELVIS PRESLEY – ELVIS COUNTRY (LSP-4460) FIRST PRESSING ON NON-FLEXIBLE VINYL!

RECORD:  VG++ (EXC) with very few non-feelable scuffs on the clean, glossy vinyl! These appear to have been caused mostly by the paper sleeve when inserting the record or pulling it out for play. This scarce Rockaway pressing should play beautifully from beginning to end! This is a very early pressing on non-flexible vinyl. The vast majority of these “Elvis Country” albums are found on flexible vinyl. In my 42 years of collecting, I have encountered less than a handful of these and every one that I did see, was a Rockaway pressing. It would be logical to assume that neither Hollywood nor Indianapolis manufactured these! The “flat” (no “Deep Groove”) orange labels are simply gorgeous, with not a spindle mark to be found. This album was released in January of 1971 and includes the hit single, “I Really Don’t Want To Know / There Goes My Everything”. The matrix numbers end with 9S/9S.

COVER:  VG++ (EXC) with some very light ring wear as well as spotted edge wear and corner wear. There are absolutely no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes anywhere on this cover. Nice! The original “ELVIS’ Stereo 8 Tape Catalog” (55) inner sleeve is included. The Bonus post card sized, two-sided photo of Elvis is missing from this album.

GOOD LUCK!
