Description

OK so here is the iconic second album released in the UK by Elvis Presley. This record is now 66 years old!

I've graded this vinyl VERY GOOD possibly with a minus? It plays through with no skipping, sticking or jumping. With a build up of visible surface marks, but no feel-able scratches, there is crackle and pop throughout, but only really noticeable on the quieter tracks (especially on "Old Shep") and between tracks. The labels are clean, no biro or stickers. Over all it's a good listen and a very decent introduction to this album if (like me) you can't find one in Near Mint condition. I'd say that at least 8 tracks play with no noticeable sound depreciation.

The cover I have graded GOOD only(see photos) There are two large rips across the front that are visible, but surprisingly the cover holds up well. On close inspection it has been well taped inside (see photo) and this strengthens it very well. In truth it's solid in hand. On the back the flip-backs are in place and pretty tidy, but there is more tape along the opening edge. There is a chunk missing too, about 1 inch. Over all it's not in too bad shape!

The poly-lined inner sleeve is in nice condition.

**ALL RECORDS GRADED ACCORDING TO RARE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM BELOW**.
SEALED  =  The record is still factory sealed (shrink wrapped) and has never been opened

MINT (M)  =  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition

NEAR MINT  (NM)  =  The vinyl/sleeve are virtually unblemished. It looks & plays like new though the record is used, And possibly has very light paper withdrawal marks or hairlines.

EXCELLENT (EX)  =  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing

VERY GOOD  (VG)  =  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G)  =  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc,

+ and - are used to differentiate between those categories
