Description
ARTIST :ELTON JOHN
TITLE :"Vintage Elton John"
YEAR/LABEL :1984 BBC TRANSCRIPTION DISC "IN CONCERT-340 CN4461
Rare breed these BBC Transcription Discs. I have never seen anyone agree on the exact number of vinyl press although most agree at under 100!!! I guess somebody with free time on his/her hands should count the number of countries that make up the British Commonwealth and they will be close. After all these were manufactured and sent to State owned Radio Stations of the Commonwealth.
DISC1 SIDE A :Intro by BBC's Richard Skinner. 1-Medley Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding(11'15") 2-Candle In The Wind(3'38") 3-Hercules(8'30") Side B Intro by Elton John "and now the weather forecast..." 1-Rocket Man(4'35") 2-Bennie And The Jets(5'40") 3-Daniel(3'40") 4-This Song Has No Title(2'20") 5-Honky Cat(6'50"). All these titles are according to the OBI sheet. Take note of "This Song Has No Title"!!!! Disc 2 unfortunately the OBI is missing. I will try an audio review during the week and try to list the songs. Keep looking.
DESCRIPTION :Vinyls have been visually inspected and are shiny. Just one very thin hairline about 4cm on Disc A side 1. Will perform audio review during the week and update listing. BBC cover could not be salvaged so, ships in a white generic cardboard sleeve.
Slim chance you will you come across this one again!

On 28-Jun-08 at 05:01:27 BST, seller added the following information:DISC TWO. SideA. 1-Goodbye Yellow Brick Road 2-The Legend Of Danny Bailey 3-Track from "Don't Shoot Me..." 4-Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer/I've Seen That Movie Too. Side B 1-Alice 2-Crocodile Rock 3-Your Song 4-Saturday Night's... Elton seems in a very good mood and is quite playful with audience between songs. Record plays very well but PLEASE NOTE that under a stronger light I can detect 3 small + very faint hairlines. Grade EX minus.
