EAST OF EDEN Mercator Projected (Deram SML 1038) RARE UK 1st Pressing MINT-
RARE early UK pressing of East Of Eden`s progressive rock masterpiece "Mercator Projected" on Deram Records (1969). "East OF Eden's debut LP is one of the hardest rocking albums to come out of the progressive rock movement, and maybe the best non-Rolling Stones albums issued by English Decca during all of the late 1960s. The whole record is eerie -- coming from a pop culture where most psychedelic rock tended toward the light and airy -- the way the high-impact bass, drum, and guitar parts interact with the distinctly Oriental and Central/Eastern European classical influences. EX+ COVER in very fine allround condition. Please see photos for details.
- Front-laminated sleeve with a very light record imprint.
- A few lightest creases to the spine.
- Minor wear to the otherwise predominantly white rear sleeve.
- Also includes the original Deram Records inner sleeve in MINT(-) condition.
MINT- RECORD with practically no signs of previous play.
- Perfect vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- No hairlines, scuffs or other visible signs of previous play to the vinyl itself.
- Original Deram Records labels with a few spindle lines on each side.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "ZAL 1688 1-W" and "ZAL 1689 1-W".
- This record is hereby certified to be an early UK pressing of "Mercator Projected", released in 1969.
PLEASE NOTE: Not to be compared with the more-often-than-not substandard vinyl on offer on eBay UK, this item is in honestly-graded EX++ to MINT- condition. You will NOT find another original first pressing of "Mercator Projected" as nice as this one - especially at this bargain price: "True value for money" is the motto here!
