Up for sale is this very collectable DUTCH pressing of The Golden Earring : Together, on Polydor 2925009.
This is a very early, 1972 pressing (the first made). It has the laminated fold out sleeve. This is not the cheap 1980's re-pressing. Heavy vinyl, deep grooves. A nice find.Remember, this record is about 40 years old! Most records were played to death in these days. This wasn't. The sound must be amazing, remember that warm, 1970's sound? This has that. Not that thin-awful, digital sound of the 1980's.
Record: VG+. I have testplayed it, and the depth of this pressing is amazing. It sounds like the group is playing in your room! Two things I have to mention, there is an audible scratch at the end of Cruisin' Southern Germany, which cause some clicks. The record plays trough, though. Same is at the end of Buddy Joe. But overall, an enjoyable copy of this classic.
Sleeve: nice, EX. Nice deep colours.Fold out sleeve.
