Description
Here we have an Abbey Road acetate for Dusty Springfield's 1989 hit, "In Private," written and produced by the Pet Shop Boys. The sleeve for the acetate is fully autographed by both Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe.
I no longer recall who I bought this from. But on November 4, 1999, the Pet Shop Boys held a record store signing at Tower Records here in San Francisco, and this was one of the (many) items that they signed for me. And you see that Neil has actually personalized it to me ("To Chris").
I have never played the acetate, as I've always heard that you shouldn't if you want to keep it in peak condition. The sleeve has seen a lot of wear over the past 34 years, but the acetate itself is in at least Very Good condition.
