Record: Donald Byrd - Byrd In Hand
Label/Cat#: Blue Note / BLP 4019
Pressing info: This is the original 1959, Deep Groove, Mono pressing. RVG is stamped in the dead wax, along with the etched plastylite "p" or ear.
GRADING: Please read! Visually this vinyl would grade as a G+. There are many scratches and scuffs across the vinyl surface. Please do not expect a museum display piece. That said, this record is a wonderful player! I have some detailed playing notes below. This was play graded in full. Please listen to the video that was taken of a piano solo on Side B. This displays how quiet the majority of this record plays. Good luck!
- Vinyl (play-graded): Incredible sounding copy from start to finish. Big, clear sound.
- Side A: (VG+) Surface noise can be heard, especially between tracks, but this side plays with clarity and only the very occasional pop.
- Side B: (VG-) Very similar to side A, but perhaps a few more pops, but not many more. Sound is big and clear. You will hear some surface noise at times but never close to over powering the music. At the very end of the side there are roughly 4 cyclical ticks during the track fade out. It stops before the track ends. This side would grade VG otherwise.
- Jacket: VG+ Please see pictures for details. Reach out with any questions. The front cover has beautiful gloss. Stunning! There is some staining on the back which is pictured. Spine is in wonderful shape. Great jacket.
- Insert/Inner: Original inner sleeve included, along with an archival-quality inner sleeve.
SHIPPING:
Record ships outside the jacket to prevent seam splits. Packed in a sturdy Mighty Mailer with padding.
