EMI Records 36 064 18107, recorded 1975. Same music that was issued in the US on the A&M classic, of same title, here with completely different artwork—otherwise unpublished—by Moki Cherry. A scarce issue of Cherry’s disco-fusion classic. Disc is clean, with only a couple of blunt trace lines from handling—all non-sounding. Jacket has a couple of vertical spine lines from opening—a couple of creases and one surface rupture. This is one of over 200 LPs being consigned on auction weekly between now and Spring 2007 from the well-kept and thorough collection of the late sculptor Bradford Graves, a key participant in the operations of New York performance space Soundscape. The collection ranges from Art Blakey to Han Bennink, with especially strong showings of Saturn, FMP, ICP, and US private pressings from the early Seventies. Some prizes and surprises in every batch.
