Description
For sale here is an extremely limited 7" from the Dirtbombs featuring covers of two songs written by New Zealand garage-rocker Ray Columbus.
"Kick Me" b/w "The Crunch"
Catalog# MAMA-050
Special rotten Kiwi-colored vinyl
This record is otherwise only available to Cass Records customers who mailed the label a broken/destroyed copy of the Dirtbombs "Race to the Bottom" 12-inch single. You will NEVER see this title for sale outside of folks flipping 'em here on eBay. Not in stores, not from any distributors...if you didn't melt your 12" you need to start bidding here in hopes of keeping your Dirtbombs collection complete.
These songs were recorded in December of 2007 at High Bias Studio in Detroit and originally supposed to be released to coincide with the Dirtbombs 2008 tour of New Zealand, but for some reason never explained to the band the records were never pressed.
Pressing is limited to 200 copies and only about 50-some will be distributed to contest participants. Once those 50 (or so) are gone these will only be available to the closest friends and confidants of Cass Records.
This will easily be the hardest record to obtain that the Dirtbombs have ever put out, way rarer than the Solid Sex Lovie Doll single and much-more limited than the Infirmary Phonographic single. It's quite possibly the most important record they've ever released.
Also to note...this 7" comes with a UK-style center hole. Copies sent to contest participants will come with this center hole popped-out, thus making it a large center hole. This may be your only chance EVER to obtain a copy with the intact UK-style center hole.
Winner will be guaranteed to receive the record before any of the contest participants and to live a generally happier life because of it. Bid early, bid often and bidet.
