AllMusic Review by Stacia Proefrock : « From the first moments when Dexter Gordon sails into the opening song full of brightness and confidence, it is obvious that Go is going to be one of those albums where everything just seems to come together magically. A stellar quartet including Sonny Clark, Billy Higgins, Butch Warren are absolutely crucial in making this album work, but it is still Gordon who shines. Whether he is dropping quotes into "Three O'Clock in the Morning" or running around with spritely bop phrases in "Cheese Cake," the album pops and crackles with energy and exuberance. Beautiful ballads like "I Guess I'll Hang My Tears Out to Dry" metamorphosize that energy into emotion and passion, but you can still see it there nonetheless. Gordon had many high points in his five decade-long career, but this is certainly the peak of it all. »

Sonny's in fine fine form for the record, and in our opinion, he seems to be the most relaxed and inventive when accompanying Dexter Gordon – even over other Blue Note horn players, and that's saying a heck of a lot! Gordon's very much in the pocket on the record too – and doesn't spend too much time soloing around and around, and really goes for the tighter groove laid out by Clark on piano, Butch Warren on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums ».

M (mint)

Le disque est superbe ; une ou deux imperfections très minimes sont possibles ; pas de rayures ni de marques visibles ; la qualité d’écoute est quasi-parfaite.

Vinyl is superb ; maybe one or two very minor surface imperfections ; no scratches no visible marks ; sound quality is near perfect.

VG+ (very good +)

Le disque est en bon état et la qualité d’écoute est bonne. Présence possible de traces non perceptibles au toucher ; de légers grésillements sont aussi possibles mais pas de clics ; pas de rayures.

Vinyl is really clean overall, with occasional few imperfections : light cracklings are possible but no clicks and no scratches ; maybe thin hairlines. Play really satisfyingly.

VG (very good) 

Le disque présente quelques défauts comme des petites rayures et des marques visibles. Ces défauts peuvent se traduire par des petits clics aléatoires ou des petits crépitements. L’écoute reste très acceptable.

Vinyl has some little scratches and visible marks. These imperfections can generate small random clicks or surface noise. Listening still very acceptable.

VG- (very good -) 

Le disque présente plusieurs défauts qui gênent l’écoute comme des crépitements constants ou des clics répétitifs générés par des rayures plus prononcées.

Vinyl has several imperfections which disturb the listening : constant cracklings or repetitive clicks generated by scratches.

G (good) 

Le disque est en mauvais état. Des défauts un peu partout liés à des rayures importantes qui sont immédiatement perceptibles tant au niveau visuel qu’au niveau de l’écoute, qui est affectée sur quasiment toute la durée du disque.

Vinyl is in poor condition. Several strong imperfections, all over the vinyl, which are immediately noticeable regarding the physical aspect and the listening for most of the part.

Le disque (pochette + vinyle) est neuf et scellé dans son film plastique d’origine. Jamais joué.

LP (cover + vinyl) is new and still in its closed original plastic film. Unplayed condition.

La pochette est neuve et donc en parfait état visuellement. La pochette n’est plus sous son film plastique d’origine.

NM (near mint)

La pochette est superbe. Il est possible de trouver un ou deux signes d’usure très minimes sur les faces ou sur les tranches ou sur les coins.

Cover is superb. Maybe just one or two slight wear signs on both sides or on slices or on corners.

VG+ (very good +)

La pochette est belle. Il peut y avoir de petites traces d’usure ou de petits plis peu apparents, sur les faces ou sur les tranches ou sur les coins, qui sont principalement liés à la vieillesse naturelle.

Cover is beautiful. Maybe slight wear signs on the cover. Slices or corners could also have some wear signs which are related mainly to natural old age.

VG (very good)

La pochette est dans un état satisfaisant. Elle présente quelques marques d’usure. Les tranches peuvent être un peu abîmées et les coins légèrement cornés ou usés. Ce sont des défauts de conservation.

Cover is clean overall. It shows few wear signs on the sides. Slices and corners can be slightly damaged. But very acceptable.

VG- (very good -)

La pochette présente plusieurs marques d’usure sur les faces, les tranches et les coins. Des ouvertures au niveau des tranches sont possibles. Les parties endommagées sont liées à de mauvaises manipulations. Il peut y avoir aussi des écritures manuelles sur la pochette.

Cover shows more signs of wear on both sides, slices and corners. Slices can be opened. Damaged parts are due to bad handling conditions. Maybe some writings on the cover.

G (good) 

La pochette est en mauvais état. Elle comporte des défauts importants un peu partout. Des déchirures peuvent être compensées par du ruban adhésif. Le papier peut être gondolé à cause de l’humidité. De grosses écritures manuelles sur la pochette peuvent être apparentes.

Cover is in poor condition. It is damaged overall. Presence of adhesive film is possible. Cover can also be damaged by humidity. Maybe some huge writings.

PAYMENT

Payment have to be done by the Buyer maximum 5 business days after the purchase (it means after receiving the Invoice – see the Delivery Policy). I only accept paypal payment for best security between the Seller and the Buyer. Except for France : payment can also be done by cheque or by bank wire transfer.

DELIVERY

Delivery cost depends on your location. 4$ indicated by Ebay is not possible from France to International. Please wait for my INVOICE before proceeding to the payment (veuillez impérativement attendre que je vous envoie la FACTURE avant de procéder au paiement). The Invoice will include item price + delivery cost. If you pay before receiving my Invoice I will ask you the delivery cost due and the shipping process will be delayed.

The following delivery costs will be applied for the year 2016. Of course I encourage you to consolidate your purchase with several items at the same time. In that case delivery costs per unit will decrease.

The Buyer will receive a tracking delevery number in order to check all the shipping process of the packing. Item availability : within 3 business days of received payment for France and within 7-10 business days of received payment for International.

PACKING

The packing will be done safety in order to protect the LP in best conditions : the vinyl is always inside a high quality inner sleeve. Then the original inner sleeve and the vinyl are always outside the cover to avoid ringwear. I use a high quality plastic sleeve in which I insert them. The LP is packed in a specific cardboard box with plastic bubbles or with cardboard inserts for better safety during the shipping.

CUSTOMS FEES & LOCAL CHARGES

All international Buyers are responsible for the cost of their respective country’s customs fees or any local charges which are not include in the item price and delivery cost.

RETURN

If the Buyer change his mind he may returns the Item. Within maximum 14 calendar days after the reception of the Item.  In that case, the Buyer has to contact the Seller by sending him an e-mail (via Ebay).

All refund requests beyond the legal period of 14 calendar days after delivery will be rejected and therefore will be not refunded (even partial). By delivery date means the date of the (first) presentation of the product by the carrier at delivery. This date is mentionned by the tracking delivery number.

The Item must be exactly packed as when it was delivered to the Buyer. As soon as the Seller will receive and control the Item, the Buyer will be refunded amount of purchase including delivery cost (if the control is positive).

The Buyer is responsible and pays for return delivery in that case. The refund will be made ??by Paypal (or by wire transfer for France) to the bank account which has been initially used for the payment of the Item by the Buyer. This refund will be made within a period of maximum 14 calendar days after the receiving confirmation sent by the Seller to the Buyer.

Any Item returned by a Buyer will not be refunded without having first obtained a return agreement from the Seller.
