Derek Bailey - Solo Guitar LP - Incus 2 - Rare!

Rare early release on Incus with the hand made sleeve and insert. The music is D. Bailey's trademark spiky and unpredictable guitar improvisations. There's a lot of open space in this recording.

The vinyl has hardly been played but it's been stored in a plastic lined window inner sleeve and has suffered for it - it had those rippled marks you sometimes see. I've cleaned it once and it's now listenable but there's still some noise. It's just a light crackle but it might be best cleaned again. So, EX visually, VG for the audio.

The sleeve is a little bit rippled but I'm told it was always like that due to the wet paste used to stick the pictures on the sleeve. Taking that into account I grade it EX.

I'm selling another Incus record featuring Derek B today.

Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
