Description

An original 1st issue of D&D Layla on the UK Polydor label from winter 1970/71 [whilst still charting]. Matrix A1/B2/A1/B2 - same as 1st cut. The vinyl comes housed in an original MacNeill cover. Please note the cover is genuine 1st issue without any Polydor logo on the front to spoil the artwork. Also included are both of the original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A very nice rendition with a bit of light background in a couple of tracks per side. They tend to be the lower key tracks like 'I Am Yours'. One deviation is a couple of clicks at the end of the track 'Looked Away'. A great player which just keeps churning out classic track after classic.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Very nice clean front with only one slight crease bottom right corner. The rear looks great with a bit of the handling wear you tend to find. The interior looks great - no issues at all. Edge wear is mostly light and the openings are still sharpish. The spine looks ok with a bit of wear in places. All text still seems to be mostly legible though. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg) Aged and one side split.
