Don't fancy shelling out a fortune on the 1st issue of this title, but you want some of that original George Peckham mana? "Simples" - Bag a 2nd press from the mid-70's, the same cut as the 1st issue by the great man himself. Let me assure you EMI made very decent pressings in the mid-seventies and this copy will blow the barn doors off of anything you've heard before...
An original copy of Fireball from the mid-seventies on the UK Harvest label. Matrix A2/B3. Etching 'PEK'. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold sleeve. Also included is the original EMI inner sleeve.

Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has clearly seen the lightest use. Under close inspection there are a couple of ultra superficial bag rash type marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with superb clarity and not the merest whiff of interference. Look at those high contrast label shots - barely a single spindle mark - this baby is super low-mileage. The audio delivered from this Peckham cut is absolutely awesome. Interference is almost non-existent just one or two slight crackles [literally the whole way through]. Even the notoriously fussy track 'Fools' - is clean as anything.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Back and front are very well preserved with just some handling wear. The interior is in nice condition too. Edge wear is moderate - one section it has warn through for two inchs [rear upper edge]. Overall the cover still retains good rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No probs. No splits.
