Here is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a genuine autographed Holy Grail from two Motown Legends who tragically died FAR too soon. David Ruffin & Eddie Kendricks (née Kendrick), on the heels of their successful collaboration with Hall & Oates, released an LP as a duo in 1987 titled Ruffin & Kendrick. It was to be their last musical release as both men would sadly be taken from the world just a few short years after releasing this final LP (Ruffin in 1991, and Kendrick the following year). So finding a signed copy of ANY record of theirs, even solo, is quite a daunting task. Finding an album signed by both David and Eddie is exponentially more difficult, given the tragedy which befell both men. But to find a signed copy of the very LAST album released by them is next to impossible. But it gets even better, because accompanying this record is a Polaroid photo taken of the two of them the day they signed the LP at a record release party at a record store whose name is lost to time (see photos). The record was signed by both men "To Chad", who is presumably the gentleman talking to Eddie in the photo.
The vinyl appears to be unplayed and grades NM-, while the cover has some minor wrinkles along the top and side (again, see photos) and grades VG-.
This unbelievably unique record, signed by two Motown Legends (both founding members of the Temptations - David sang baritone on classics like Ain't Too Proud To Beg and the all-time classic My Girl, while Eddie sang tenor on Get Ready, The Way You Do The Things You Do and his solo chart-topping Keep On Truckin') will be the absolute cornerstone of ANY Motown/Temptations/R&B collection and will be packed with the utmost of care so please bid with confidence.
