Description

David Bowie Original First Japanese Pressing of  "LOW" Test Pressing LP in NEAR MINT condition.

Original RCA LP Test pressing RVP-6154 with Rare Japanese test pressing inner Blue sleeve (see photos). When I obtained this Scarce Japanese test pressing it came with the LP jacket shown and without the lyric sheet insert.

Nice, clean and shiny vinyl (see light reflection in photos), NEAR MINT, due to the fact that there is a very light scuff mark on the last track of side A and some machining or other marks on some areas of the trail off portion of the vinyl in the label edge areas, likely done at the pressing plant during label attachment.  I just played the test pressing for the FIRST time to check the quality.  The quality of the Vinyl is unbelievable!  Traditional pre-1980 Japanese LP quality control and heft. Both sides of the LP are shown in the photos. This is an amazing rarity with some very subtle flaws, but due to the condition of the playable vinyl, I am still grading the TEST PRESSING near mint overall.   This is the rarest of the rare, and  I am sure you are aware of how scarce items are from the LOW time period.  If you have obtained any items from my collection, you know how particular I am on grading and the quality of my items.  This is like a time capsule from 1977 and close to a newly pressed TEST PRESSING.  In quality, it should perform better than the mass produced LPs, and even better than the stock Japanese LPs since it is a test pressing which sometimes has a different vinyl makeup and more stringent manufacturing regarding quality control measures.  Test pressings are generally some of the first stamped LPs from the stamping plates. See the enclosed photos with the reflection of my linear ceiling light in the LP. Comes in an Original very UNIQUE heavy Japanese blue/white protective record sleeve.  Please see the photos for the Matrix number.

An illusive and extremely rare piece.  Guaranteed authentic. NO RESERVE! but a reasonable starting price given the historical significance of this rarity!

Out side of U.S.A. and Canada: Registered International mail is recommended and is $28.50 Other means at cost are also available.

Good Luck.

Cheers!
