Description

Epic BA 17008, stereo, with strobe-like lines around the perimeter of the label, deep groove.. 3 tracks. Possibly a "Live" studio date as there is some audience reaction during Bailey's intro. Recorded in 1969. Subtitled " A Treasury of Soul". Includes Dave Bailey, drums (leader); Clark Terry, trumpet, flugelhorn; Junior Cook, tenor sax; Curtis Fuller, trombone; Horace Parlan, piano; Peck Morrison, bass. Hard-to-find. Cover: VG(-) to VG 2" split on the bottom edge at the insert edge. Edan corner wear. Small tear marks on the insert edge front cover but no paper loss. Some soil and general wear from handling along with aging. Record: VG+ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are a few short, light, rub marks on the surface. These are barely visible. They do not seem to effect the sound. Side 2 which begins with Bailey's intro consists of 1 tune, "Sandu", which is associated with Clifford Brown. There are a few light clicks scattered throughout that Side. These are light for the most part and are infrequent. Most of the record plays close to Mint. The VG+ in the overall rating reflects the described noise. Audibly checked.
