Dansette Damage 45 NME / The Only Sound. ....MONO recording
Issued in 1978 on the "Shoestring Records" label , this record was produced by Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin under the pseudonym name of "The Wolverhampton Wanderer".
This 45 has been uploaded onto "Youtube" by the original lead sing Edwin Blower for you to listen to , and here is what he has to say about the the recording expirience with Mr. Plant
We made this record in early 1978 and were lucky enough to get Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin and their live sound engineer Beji LeFevre, to twiddle the knobs in the studio for us. Robert put all needles in the red which is why it sounds so raw! Also, we couldn't sing and you can hear Robert's high falsetto at the top end, trying to keep us lot in tune! Now, at last, a film has been put together by our friend James Snow, to visualise and capture what England was like in 1978 (thanks to Julian Temple!). Original copies of this record sell for over £150 on ebay, so here is a chance to see and hear what all the fuss is about!

This 45 comes in a flimsy thin picture paper sleeve which luckily has been protected by the record being placed in a white paper sleeve , this means that the sleeve has survived getting any seam splits or tears and with only minimal evidence of ringwear which is only slightly evident on the reverse side of the sleeve , The sleeve is in EX if not EX+ condition....the glare on the photos are from the flash on the camera
The Vinyl itself looks as if its very rarely been played and still retains its original sheen and lustre , there is a very light , slightly white, area on the grooves on the "NME" side , this extends for about 2 inchs over its playing surface and which is probably from the manufacturing process rather than any play-abuse , overall EX condition. ....A wonderful addition to any Punk / Led Zep collection
IMPORTANT , I used to have a second-hand record shop and have previously had a lot of expirience selling records , HOWEVER I now run a busy pub and no longer have the time to dedicate to answering emails that previous Ebay selling showed me are nessisary , I WILL TRY to answer any (inevitable) questions you may have but please have patience with me if it takes me a little longer than normal to reply ....I just dont have enough hours in the day to be at the computer all the time ......So please dont wait until the dying hours/minutes of the auction to ask me any important questions as I probably won't get time to answer.
Record will be sent in a sturdy mailer and stiffeners for protection , all records are sent at cost prices (I do not gouge for p&p) ....
If paypal payment is made the buyer must pay for it to be sent by a trackable postage method as perscribed by Paypal ...NO EXCEPTIONS

The record may be picked up in person from my pub if you so desire ....within a reasonable time scale of a week
