The Los Dug Dugs were the first group to sing covers and original songs in English, creating what would be known as La Onda Chicana, movement that would include bands like Bandido, Three Souls in my Mind (currently known as El Tri), Peace and Love, El Ritual, among others.
Great second album from The Dug Dug's, this time with all Spanish vocals and more elaborated themes, with acid guitar leeds and flute.
Condition:
Record vinyl : VG+ [ with some light marks and few light scratches ]. Cover Jacket :VG++[some light corners wear, very light start of ring wear,NO punch hole, and NO writing ,there is small tiny well-put tape around all 3 edges.]
Classic south-american psych-rock album in great shape.
This MEGA RARE Album LP IS VERY HARD TO FIND These DAYS ! A GREAT PICTURE COVER SLEEVE!
SECOND ALBUM OF THIS HEAVY FUZZ PSYCH MEXICO BAND, GREAT GUITAR WORK AND PROGRESSIVE TOUCHES IN JETHRO TULL VEIN.
Wildassed heavy guitar prog with flute sounds like Jethro Tull on steroids, this thing blows their other LPs away completely. This album is literally impossible to dig up.
One of the very best south-American group. Back in the days... there was a scene in Mexico, the time is 1973, the place Durango Durango (hence dug dug’s) and it is just amazing how most of these bands (including el taro, la revolucion de emiliano Zapata, kaleidoscope, el amor, la vida, grupo ciruela, nahuatl (too many to name!) are know only amongst a few collectors..sadly!
Yes, this is fantastic music that perfectly blends psych, fuzz garage, jethro tull ish flutes with quick powerful progressive twists , blending in again with melodious riffs. This has got it all !

Too many people think their best LP ever!!
Los Dug Dug's are a mexican rock group which started off in the early sixties as a high school band called Xippos Rock, with members Armando Nava and Jorge de la Torre. In 1966 Xippos Rock began a road trip from Durango to Tijuana and half way through the trip, the name was changed to Los Dug Dug's, an abbreviation of the band's native city and state. Once the band had arrived at Tijuana they commenced there ascent of Mexican Rock, soon landing a regular gig at Mike's Bar, where they firmly established their reputation. At this time they also did some gigs across the border in the USA where they picked up the latest sounds to take back to Mexico with them. In this way they brought The Beatles' music to Mexico, being the first band to play their songs in Mexico. At the same time they became the first band in Mexico to sing their own songs, as well as the songs of other bands in English, thus breaking what had been a rule in Mexican rock up till then....

I also use +/- if I feel a record comes between a grade LP condition GRADING system: M (MINT) : Sealed, never opened or played, new in original package.
NM (NEAR MINT) : Near perfect copy, played only a few times. At worst it may have one or two insignificant flaws. This is the highest grade I give for a non-sealed (used) record.
EX (EXCELLENT) : Clean copy, slight surface marks/hairlines, cover has minor defaults.
VG++ (VERY GOOD++) : More surface marks, minor flaws, or cover wear, minor edge wear (cover). Nothing serious but is not graded EX because of few minor defaults.
VG+ (VERY GOOD +) : Played a lot, will show signs of handling, has marks, possibly few light scratches but no jumps or sticks. Cover wear (light ring wear, heavier corner or edge wear on cover).
VG (VERY GOOD) : Used record, played a lot, has marks, few scratches, some crackling while playing and but no jumps or sticks. Still quite listenable. Cover may have heavy corner, edge wear or split seams.
G (GOOD) : Played a lot and more (but still playable), lot of scratches, crackles a lot while playing, may have jump or sticks and cover is damaged...so not so good ! This record must be very rare to be proposed in this state !!!
