Description

"The Special Service Division invites you soldiers, sailors and marines of the United Nations to drop in at DUFFY'S TAVERN!" 

"Hello, Duffy's, where de elite meet ta eat...Archie the Manager speakin', Duffy ain't here..... Oh, hello, Duffy!"

And here's a very enjoyable original WAR DEPARTMENT RADIO PROGRAM TRANSCRIPTION DISC containing a complete 30-minute episode of the famous radio series: "DUFFY'S TAVERN".  Guest star is KATE SMITH and her manager TED COLLINS.

This disc label has the date stamp of August 23, 1943, but I believe the program originally aired on December 15, 1942.    

This is an original 16" WAR DEPARTMENT disc, issued to AFRS radio stations and it's in a protective sleeve.  

The disc is clean and uncracked; the recording is in very good condition.
