BEATLES "LIVE AT THE BBC"
ORIGINAL 1994 UK APPLE DOUBLE ALBUM RELEASE.
Live at the BBC is a 1994 compilation album featuring performances by The Beatles that were originally broadcast on various BBC Radio shows from 1963 through 1965. The MONO album, available in multiple formats but most commonly as a two-CD set, consists of 56 songs and 13 tracks of dialogue; 30 of the songs had never been issued previously by The Beatles. It was the first official release by The Beatles of previously unissued performances since The Beatles at The Hollywood Bowl in 1977, and the first containing previously unreleased songs since Let it Be in 1970.
Although the songs were recorded ahead of broadcast, allowing for retakes and occasional overrubbing, they are essentially "live in studio" performances. Most of the songs are cover versions of material from the late 1950s and early 1960s, reflecting the stage set they developed before Beatlemania. Before the album's release, comprehensive collections of The Beatles' BBC performances had become available on Bootlegs.
Offered for sale in unplayed and pristine condition is the rarer double vinyl version of this release.
The Apple labels to all four side are in pristine and as new condition. none of the labels display any spindle marks to either side. All four labels are bright and vivid and are as pressed.
The vinyl is also like new. Close inspection reveals absolutely no surface marks to any side, clearly unplayed this perfect vinyl is again just as pressed.
Both picture/lyric inners are mint.
The outer gatefold sleeve is stunning, there is a small indentation mark to the front which is only visible when the sleeve is angled and there is a tiny bump to the top of the spine but this is minor, apart from that the sleeve is unmarked and is also like new. Perfectly clean and glossy the sleeve is firm, rigid and displays no wear or handling marks and is of course free fram any writing.
OVERALL A STUNNING, NEAR MINT AND CERTAINLY UNPLAYED EXAMPLE OF THIS ORIGINAL UK APPLE RELEASE.
THE ORIGINAL VINYL VERSIONS OF THIS ALBUM ARE BECOMING INCREASING HARDER TO FIND, ESPECIALLY UNPLAYED COPIES!
