Original copy of the 1964 album The Sect by the UK group THE DOWNLINERS SECT, on black/blue Columbia label
The record has some marks and plays with moderate background in the quietest parts, but the vinyl is thick and there are no clicks, skips, sticks so it's still a very enjoyable listening.
The front laminated flipback cover is flat and clean, with just some creases in the top left corner.

RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE'S GRADING SYSTEM

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing. 

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. 

GOOD:The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. 

FAIR:The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. 

Please notice that I don't use Mint but NEAR MINT (which is very close but refers to a secondhand used record) except for Sealed/Brand New/Unplayed records, and I don't sell Poor or unplayable records. I try to be as honest as possible when grading records, but a mistake can be made from time to time.

Il disco ha diversi graffi e suona con moderato rumore di fondo nelle parti a più basso volume, ma il vinile è molto pesante e non ci sono clic o salti, per cui l'ascolto è ancora molto piacevole.
La copertina laminata davanti e con bordi ripiegati esternamente (flipback) è in ottimo stato, pulitissima e solo con qualche piega nell'angolo in alto a sinistra.
