On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Downliners Sect called 'The Sect' and is a 1964 MONO UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS WAS THE DOWNLINERS SECTS FIRST LP AND IS BY FAR THE RAREST TO FIND!!!! THIS IS THE VERY 1ST PRESSING WITH AN E.J. DAY FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER, BLUE/BLACK 1ST PRESS COLUMBIA LABELS, 1/G 1/R MOTHERS AND STAMPERS AND 1N/1N MATRIX ENDINGS!!!! SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is an ORIGINAL Columbia UK Blue/Black 1st pressing from 1964 and is in brilliant condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 33SX 1658 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Columbia Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Downliners Sect at their best!!!! Any fan of The Downliners Sect, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in brilliant condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has a few hairline type marks (mostly only visible under light), a VERY few small surface marks, and only a few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS A 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO nasty loud pops, only a VERY few low level clicks in places, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss, and NO crackle!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion (apart from the last track on Side 2 which does have a slight amount of distortion). The record must grade Very Good if not better - and still plays VERY well!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL Emitex inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press E.J.Day Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, only a VERY few light creases, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, NO wear and NO yellowing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! THIS IS A MEGA RARE LP AND REALLY TOUGH TO FIND!!!! DONT MISS OUT!!!!
