On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Downliners Sect called 'The Country Sect' and is a 1965 MONO UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS WAS THE DOWNLINERS SECTS SECOND LP AND IS VERY HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!! 'TRASHED' COPIES OCCASSIONALLY TURN UP - BUT TO FIND A MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IN THIS CONDITION IS VERY HARD INDEED!!!! THIS LP REALLY WAS A 'PARTY' RECORD IF EVER THERE WAS ONE - AND MOST GOT PLAYED VERY HEAVILY. BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!! THIS ONE HAS CLEARLY ALWAYS BEEN WELL LOOKED AFTER AND BARELY PLAYED AT ALL!!!! THIS IS THE VERY 1ST PRESSING WITH A GARROD & LOFTHOUSE 'PATENTS PENDING' FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER, BLUE/BLACK 1ST PRESS COLUMBIA LABELS, AN EMITEX INNER SLEEVE AND 1/1 MATRIX ENDINGS!!!! SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is an ORIGINAL Columbia UK Blue/Black 1st pressing from 1965 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 33SX 1745 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Columbia Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Downliners Sect at their best!!!! Any fan of The Downliners Sect, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS ONLY BEEN PLAYED 2 OR 3 TIMES AT THE VERY MOST!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, only 2 or 3 light (and NON sounding) hairlines and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS A 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO crackle, and only the mega MEGA faintest touch (barely ANY) of background sound between some of the tracks, and the run on groove (barely ANY)!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion!!!! The sound this record makes is simply AWESOME!!!! From start to finish there is ZERO distortion - even on the innermost tracks!!!! SUPERB SOUND!!!! The record must STRICTLY grade Very Good++++ if not better and it is SO HARD to find this LP in this condition (most are trashed)!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL Emitex inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press Laminated Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, NO wear and NO yellowing!!!! In fact this cover looks AMAZING and is virtually UNCREASED - apart from 2 or 3 creases on the spinal edge. Even with the 2 or 3 creases on the spinal edge the rest of the cover is so superb that it must grade Excellent (Minus)!!!! PLEASE ALSO NOTE - that the front of this cover is supposed to be a cream colour and is NOT 'yellowed'. THIS IS A MEGA RARE LP AND REALLY TOUGH TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS EXTREMELY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
