Description
DORRIS HENDERSON & JOHN RENBOURN LP "THERE YOU GO". Issued in the UK in 1966 on the Columbia label Cat No. SX6001 (mono). The laminated flipback sleeve is in REASONABLE condition - has some light creases around the laminated edges, some age discolouration to rear, a seam split of 6cm to top of sleeve and a name written on rear. The vinyl does have a small edge ripple which causes 4 jumps at the start of Track 1 Side 1 and causes the stylus to "stick" at the start of Track 1 Side 2 - this is on my turntable and I must say, honestly, I'm surprised this happens because it isn't visually that severe and more warped records have played better. Unfortunately this isn't the only flaw - the record has quite a lot of surface marks and a few scratches which means that there are many tracks which suffer from background noise and clicking. There is also a "jump" on Track 1 Side 1 (in addition to the 4 caused by the edge warp). So clearly, not an LP for ardent collectors of MINT/EXCELLENT records but the LP does play quite reasonably and may be OK until a better copy comes along of this very hard to find rarity.
