Description

Half decent copy of this much sought after tune  The vinyl has a fair few mainly light marks and a 3 or 4 slightly deeper just feelable ones so plays with a little crackle to start with gradually lessening but nothing overpowering and doesn’t sound like frying sausages! a bit more obvious on the A side ,the B side plays a bit cleaner but has a small 1 groove jump on my deck so may or may not on yours but it seems to happen in the vicinity of a small dimple in the  pressing (pictured)  the record has 1 further fault that most wouldn’t mention but is easily fixed in that it’s been pressed off centre so it needs to be manually placed on the turntable without an adapter then it will run perfectly true and sound fine otherwise it sounds a bit weird because of the style of organ playing  so it’s no good for a DJ as it takes a little while to get it running true   Sometimes think a plastic adapter with an off centre hole would be a great idea then it could be left in the record permanently for ease of playing  is there such a thing? as there are many JA 45s with this problem.  Anyway over to you and thanks for looking  any questions please ask

Stop press  I have just played double action through a couple of times without it jumping at all  by slightly  reducing the arm weight  hey presto perfect  so it’s obviously a bit fussy about the weight but it’s better than a permanent fault on the vinyl and it may well play fine on another deck with no adjustment at all
