DON WILKERSON “Preach Brother!” RVG, LAM, Blue Note BLP 4107 Mono Vinyl
This is the “VAN GELDER” stamped, Laminated Cover, pressing of DON WILKERSON’s “Preach Brother!” on the "New York/Liberty” labels of Blue Note BLP 4107. Musicians include Don Wilkerson - tenor saxophone, tambourine, Sonny Clark – piano, Grant Green – guitar, Butch Warren – bass, Billy Higgins - drums.
VINYL plays very well, cleanly, with occasional pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. Good gloss. Couple non-feelable hairline marks. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove “New York/Liberty” labels are clean, spindle wear. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in good shape. Corners worn. Lower right corner very water damaged, jacket separating. Seams and spine perfect except for front water damage. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows extensive water damage. Please see photos.
This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER. Record photographed before final rinse/dry.
