DON CHERRY "ETERNAL RHYTHM" LP - On the MPS/BASF label, #20680 (stereo). This is the original '72 U.S. pressing LP - NOT A MODERN REISSUE. Great free jazz recorded in Berlin Nov. 11th and 12th, 1968. The personnel: Don Cherry/cornet, gender and saron (gamelan), bengali flute in A, bamboo flute in C, metal flute in B flat, plastic flute in C, Haitian Guard, Northern Bells, voice; Albert Mangelsdorff/trombone; Eje Thelin/trombone; Bernt Rosengren/tenor saxophone, oboe, clarinet, flute; Sonny Sharrock/guitar; Karl Berger/vibes, piano, gender (gamelan); Joachim Kuhn/piano, prepared piano; Arild Andersen/bass; Jacques Thollot/drums, saron (gamelan), gong, bells, voice. The vinyl is in phenomenal M/M- condition (beautiful gloss) with pristine labels. Looks virtually unplayed! The fold-open Unipak cardboard cover is in superb AS NEW shape - bright and clean, displays wonderfully!! NO cut-out marks, NO bends or creases, NO seam splits.
