NEW ORLEANS OWLS

The Performances:
DOC COOK Chicago, Dec 2 1926 A large band (12 piece), star-studded with such as Keppard, Noone, Poston, St Cyr, playing a good jazz arrangement of Morton’s lovely Sidewalk Blues. The main point of the record is probably in the second half, when Keppard blows lead cornet throughout.
NEW ORLEANS OWLS Atlanta, Nov 8, 1926 Typical light, bright, airy up-tempo sides from this unique and instantly recognizable New Orleans band. One of the best of their recorded sides.
Rarity:
Not too many collectors possess this record.
Condition:
E-/V+. The Cook side shows little wear and plays nicely enough. The Owls side has scratches and marks, some of which sound.
Postage at cost.
