D.O.A. - HARDCORE '81 (Friends Records)

This is an original copy of the very rare first pressing of this LP by Vancouver, BC punk legends DOA on the Friends Records label.

An copy of this original LP recently sold on ebay for $248.

This is by far the hardest to find of thefirst 2 original DOA local pressing LP's. Released on the small storefront record label Friends in a pressing of only a couple of thousand, this LP was available in the Vancouver area for a short while in 1981 and then disapeared and has been impossible to find ever since. A dispute between the band and the label owner who disapeared with the original master tapes means this LP has never been re-issued from the original tapes.  A very DIY album, the album cover was assembled from other album covers, with the inside painted black so that few people ever knew.

This is a VERY Kick ass PUNK LP,  DOA's best in my opinion, which absolutely amazed people at the time as almost no one had ever captured this much punk fury  on vinyl before. This is the album that best captures what the original , and best, DOA line up  of Joey Sh*thead, Randy Rampage, and Chuck Biscuits (Danzig, Black Flag, Circle Jerks) sounded like on stage. They were one of the best live punk bands in the world at the time, and the first LP didn't quite capture it, but this second LP did.

This copy is in excellent condition. Vinyl is in NM- condition, looks like it was hardly played. Cover is NM - with only a tiny hint of beginning rw.
