The late, great Ronnie James Dio has had several vinyl picture discs released since his passing in 2010. Two of those releases were shaped picture discs. I've put together a very cool THREE piece collection of TWO different shaped pic discs, and a bonus interview picture disc!

First up is the song "Holy Diver", the title track from the album of the same name, and the live version, recorded FORTY years ago, in 1983, at Castle Donington in the UK! Released in 2018, it's the classic Dio logo on the A side, and song titles and credits on the B side. And comes in its original clear PVC jacket with hype sticker!

Next up is the song "Last in Line", also the title track from the album 'Last in Line', recorded TWENTY years ago, in 2003, and celebrating that face-melting hit's THIRTY FIVE year anniversary in 2019 (when this shaped pic disc was released)! The A side is Ronnie James Dio's hand "throwing the horns", which he helped make famous, and the B side is song titles and credits. This too, comes in its original PVC jacket with hype sticker!

Last, I'll add a vintage Dio interview picture disc from Red Door Records, in the 80s, and numbered! It's great shots of Ronnie, with a different pic on both sides. Not sure of the sound quality on this one, as I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records, but is IS a thicker, heavier vinyl. And if it sounds terrible, (as many pic discs did in that era), it's a great piece of music memorabilia to own regardless!

The two shaped pic discs were bought new, and never played. "Holy Diver Live" has some light surface marks on the clear vinyl before the grooves begin, but that looks to have been made in the manufacturing process. Nothing too bad, and hardly noticeable (unless you're looking for it, and mainly on the B side). Interview pic disc looks to have only a few very light surface marks on it. No heavy scratches, gouges, or scuffs. In great shape for something that's around FORTY years old!

Make that Dio fan in your life ecstatic this Christmas with a Dio triple shot of picture discs! Or for collectors of shaped pic discs or interview pic discs. It's always good to have Dio merch. This year, give the best gift of all...the gift of music on vinyl!
