DEVON RUSSELL JAH HOLDS THE KEY / VERSION.

ORIGINAL 1992 ‘ZION TRAIN’ (UK) WHITELABEL 7inch.

Originally recorded in 1992 when the late, great Devon Russell of Studio One and Gladiators fame strolled into the Zion Train studio in London after buying a small draw of sensi from the tailor/dealer who was our next door neighbour in those days. The tune is really a cover version of the same song done by Devon for Coxsone Dodd many years before but is derived from the same rhythm as the much better known 'Rastaman Camp' by Freddy McGregor also released on Studio One. The original Zion Train piece was pressed as 500 vinyl white label 7's and became an instant London sound system smash and this is one of the original 500 copy press run!!!
