ANOTHER ITEM FROM THE DUSTY VAULTS AT BEANOS!
DEPECHE MODE "FLEXIPOP SINGLE" TEST PRESSING
In 1981 the British magazine "flexipop" featured, as one of its cover flexi-singles, "Sometimes I wish I was Dead" by DEPECHE MODE (also with the Fad Gadget track "King of the Flies). These singles are still fairly common and I have pictured one to remind you.
These flexi singles were made by the 'LYNTONE' company who specialised in these items.
However, what we have here is an incredibly scarce test pressing from Lyntone on a hard vinyl 7" single. There would have been only one or two of these to test the audio quality before the pressing run of the coloured flexi-discs. It is hard to photograph the matrix number as it is on a raised groove but it is the same as the flexi, 'LYN 10219 - 1S', it is just about visible on the photo. The same track has been pressed on to the plain label B-side. The label is hand written.
The last two pictures are of the red viny flexi disc for comparison.
This has to be one of the rarest DEPECHE MODE seven inch singles in existance. As a bonus to the lucky winner we will include the red flexi disc in the price.
I have started this at a very low price to give all fans a chance, you will not see one of these again!
