One of Brian’s favorite song writers, Dennis Wilson got short-shrifted by… Dennis Wilson. Anyone who could turn out songs and/or production like this (he co-produced), should have been doing it full-time and should have been encouraged/protected enough to let him work. At least from a music-buying-public point of view. There should have been more from Dennis, but he was who he was, and life held way too many distractions for him and if he could find the distraction fast enough, he'd take it. I understand he’d record when time allowed, and had a number of his solo songs hijacked to fill out Beach Boy albums when Brian couldn’t be coaxed into more than a song or two, if that. This album is not only one of the best Beach Boy side-projects, but a great album for anyone to turn out at any time. But you knew that or you wouldn’t be reading this.
