Rare SEALED copy of Del Shannon's 1961 release "Runaway With Del Shannon" on Bigtop 12-1303.
While I have seen some copies sold in shrink wrap, I do believe this is still a GENUINE SEALED and UNOPENED LP. The loose bag is completely unopened or altered in any way. The wear and appearance of the wrapping and the price tag look and feel 60 years old at least. There are signs of age and wear on the wrapping but the LP underneath does not look to have ever been handled.
The price tag has a standard price of $3.98 marked down to $2.19 which would place the price tag to the early 60's. So there is a possibility this copy was delivered and re-wrapped at the store or the factory seal was this looser fitting wrap. Either way I am confident this copy has not been opened or played in it's existence and has been sealed since 1961. There are plenty of LP's from the late 50's that were sold in loose fitting wrappings like Columbia releases, Capitol releases, etc. before tight fitting shrink wrap became standard. And shrink wrap wasn't widely popular until 1963 or so.
I believe this is a BRAND NEW NEVER OPENED ITEM. An exceptional copy of a fantastic LP. Rare collectors item in this condition.
