Description

A unique opportunity to bid for an authentic original white label pre-production pressing of Deep Purple's album 'Machine Head' issued by EMI in 1972. The two sides of the album are on two separate vinyl discs (12in), each of which has one blank side and one with the tracks. The centres of the discs have blank white labels which gives the name to these items. The name of the album and group are hand written along with an owner's name on each white label.

Only a very limited number of these pressings would be produced, many of which would be destroyed, which means they are extremely rare. These two vinyls carry the matrix codings TPSA 7504A-1U and TPSA 7504B-1U.

The discs come in their original factory white inner sleeves dated 9 Mar 1972 within a very good clean original album cover. I have had them in my possession for nearly 40 years during which time they have been played only a small number of times and therefore they are in near mint condition.
