According to The Crack in the Cosmic Egg, Deaf was “an obscure Swiss combo, formed by ex-members of Shiver (Dany Rühle and Jelly M. Pastorini) in late 1969, stepping on from Shiver, moving to heavy progressive rock.  Taking blues and psychedelic elements, they had a very loose jamming style when live.  Their only surviving studio recording, [found on side two of this record] based on Ravel’s “Bolero,” is a fine example of classical rock that blends Teutonic and Italian styles.”  Side one of Alpha is all live material, but that side-long cut on side two is exceptional and correctly referred to as “the psychedelic journey” on the record’s label.  Recorded between 1970 and 1972.  Released in Switzerland on Black Rills Recorfds in 1994, this is a limited, hand-numbered edition of 500 copies.  The cover is in the shrinkwrap and is M--- and the record is in Ex++ condition.  (For more info on my grading system, click on the “me” icon above.)

In the U.S., postage would be about $4.77 for one LP sent by Media Mail.  Package insured upon request.  Winners outside of the U.S. will be notified of postal fees, but an approximate cost for one LP to many countries is $16.20 by airmail (but Canada and Mexico will be less than this for most single LP packages).  Yes, I do combine shipping so if you bid on and win more than one item, you WILL save on postage!  Note: I do not gouge on postage and packaging costs.  Record will be carefully packaged in a strong, oversized LP mailer.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.  E-mail: david.o@jjldj.com.
