Stokowski Couducts Richard Strauss: (1958) Don Juan (Tone Poem), Op 20 Till Eulenspiegal's Merry Pranks, Op 28 Salome - Dance of the Seven Veils These test pressings are the first ones off the stamper and all the more transparent sounding for it. They come in a plain white jacket. The label is similiar to the one below. For those who might not be familiar with DCC, they are a remastering label like Mobile Fidelity used to be, only much, much better. Other copies I have auditioned of this album can't hold a candle to the DCC vinyl, cut from the master tape for the first time ever. This is without a doubt the best sounding version you will ever hear of this music, all tube mastered from the original master tapes by the ultimate perfectionist, Steve Hoffman. Pressed on virgin 180 gram heavy vinyl at RTI, it's very unlikely the sonics of this copy will ever be surpassed in our lifetime.
