Description
Creedence Clearwater Revival "Green River" original Japanese 33 1/3 rpm Long-playing (LP) phonograph record, Liberty Records LP-8816, with gatefold album cover. This stereo record has black labels, with a rainbow-colored section, light blue-and-black Liberty logo, light blue perimeter print, silver "Fantasy Recordings", and silver print text. Both labels are clean, with no writing on either side. This is a 1969 Special Limited Edition, pressed on beautiful see-thru cherry red vinyl; most copies were pressed on black vinyl. Creedence Clearwater Revival were one of the world's most popular bands from 1968 through 1972, charting twelve hit songs in five years. Creedence Clearwater Revival featured John Fogerty (vocals, lead guitar), Tom Fogerty (rhythm guitar), Stu Cook (bass guitar), and Doug Clifford (drums). "Green River" was released in Japan, in 1969. The songs on the record are (Side One) "Green River" (2:31), "Commotion" (2:37), "Tombstone Shadow" (3:36), "Wrote A Song For Everyone" (4:55), (Side Two) "Bad Moon Rising" (2:17), "Lodi" (3:08), "Cross-Tie Walker" (3:17), "Sinister Purpose" (3:19), and "The Night Time Is The Right Time" (3:07). "The Night Time Is The Right Time" was written by Napoleon Brown, Ozzie Cadena, and Lew Herman. All other songs were written by John C. Fogerty. The record was arranged and produced by John Fogerty, through Debut of California. This thirty-seven-year-old cherry red vinyl phonograph record is in excellent condition. The record comes in a clear poly sleeve. The gatefold album cover is in excellent plus condition. With the exception of the song titles, which are written in both Japanese and English, the text on the inside of the gatefold album cover is written entirely in Japanese. The record, sleeve, and album cover come in a clear protective sleeve. This is an extremely rare phonograph record, rarely offered.
