!!!!A VERY HARD FIND!!! Not as elusive as First Utterance but still getting hard to get hold of!! Only 1 press was ever done of this album with around 1000 albums rumoured to have been distributed. How many would have survived????

In all my years this is only the second time I have come across this PROGMONSTER of which only 1000 are rumoured to be about. Rare ... anyone?? This one is more desirable still as the vinyl does not appear to have been played. Under an intense light there are no lines or marks to be seen except from the last track on side 1 which has some of the wispiest retraction scuff lines. This is truly the best copy of this album you are ever likely to find.

Sensational sound quality, I have played this through in its entirety and it was a great joy!!! NO skips or jumps. NO clicks or crackle, this is really a stunning heavy glossy jet black vinyl .  Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled

Background Info:

    Their first album, First Utterance, appeared in 1971. The music is largely acoustic art rock that blends elements of Eastern percussion, early folk and animal-like vocals. The music evokes many feelings, but the most dominant are fear, confusion, despair, with occasional passages of tranquil beauty such as can be found in "The Herald". The lyrics are dramatic, involving violence, murder, and mental disorder. Apart from three tracks on First Utterance ("The Herald", "Diana" and "Bitten"), most of the songs were written by Roger Wootton and arranged by Glenn Goring. The group disbanded after this album, but they reunited with new members for their second album, which was to be their swansong, To Keep from Crying, in 1974. Again nearly all songs were written by Roger Wootton. Again bassist Andy Hellaby (all bass instrumentation) and Bobbie watson on backing vocals and percussion were on board. "To Keep From Crying" like "First Utterance" is a very remarkable work of art and totally non-commercial. My favourite track on this album is "Perpetual Motion". This album is not easy on the ear for most listeners (hence it failed to sell) but a real challenge that delivers for those who dare to delve deeper!!!

Vinyl: NM!! A sensational find!!! I have played this in FULL twice over> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more detailed observation. I am very glad to be able to report that this is a fine slab of vinyl without any problems at all and as such worthy of inclusion in any great prog collection. Of course NO jumps/clicks/skips etc. Have a look at the pictures.

 NO wear at all on the vinyl and NO spindle marks. NO jumps, NO crackle!!! Not even any background noise. This is the ultimate NM vinyl for this album.

Sleeve: VG++ to EX.  The sleeve is matt and printed by the E.J. Day Group. Slight scuffing near the edges. NO creases. The crispest of openings and a straigt fully legible spine.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible!!! This is  a great and seriously collectable super album!!  You will buy into a piece of prog/psych core history.
