One box set for a total of 4 vinyl records.
Hand-numbered edition 1,466 of a total of 7,500 copies of this set printed worldwide.

The complete recordings of tenor saxophonist Stan Getz with guitarist Jimmy Rainey. Recorded in New York City, Storyville (Boston), and WOR studios in NYC from October 1951 to April 1953. Tracks originally produced by Ira Gitler, Norman Granz, and Teddy Reig for Verve, Roost, Clef, and others.

Pressed on 180 gram vinyl. This box set comes with a perfectly preserved 12- page booklet featuring several archival photographs, including a day-by-day recording breakdown and essay by Bill Crow. Includes recording dates, personnel, and master prefix session numbers.

Sidemen on these discs include:

Horace Silver, Roy Haynes, Duke Jordan, Red Mitchell, Frank Isola, Al Haig, Tiny Kahn, and others.

There is a slight 3/4 inch tear at the bottom right corner of the front cover.

This box set is a vivid snapshot of an important period in the history of American Jazz and would be a prize in the catalog of any serious Jazz collector.
