Company 4 Steve Lacy Derek Bailey (Incus 26)

Duets recorded at the end of 1976, this LP was the fourth of four releases drawn from the pool of improvisers, centered on Derek Bailey, known as Company. (The Company recordings that followed were drawn from a week of various musician assemblages in the next year.)

Company musicians "have in common a preference for making music by free improvisation".

Personnel: Steve Lacy (ss); Derek Bailey (el g).

Condition: Near Mint; disc is immaculate. No marks, no spindle wear; played once. Jacket is clean if not as immaculate as disc. There's a very slight grayish line, very thin, on the front, close to the spine edge. There's also just-perceptible ringwear, so because jacket is bright yellow. The mark on the back cover is not a blemish; it's a design element, in keeping with the front-cover drawing.

I'm an independent seller, divesting his personal collection. Mine is the best price on Ebay a.t.o.p. (at time of posting).

Shipping: Ebay requires seller to indicate shipping methods and other particulars, then automatically inserts the cost at the top of the listing. Buyer will pay just the amount as determined by destination and shipping method he chooses; I don't pad the cost for more profit. (USPS Media Mail is cheapest; I will provide prices for US Priority, or for FedEx or UPS ground, if requested.)
