Description
Up for grabs here is the CRAZY RARE and hard to find Commander Venus/Drip split 7". A split release between Ghostmeat and Saddle Creek (soon after they changed their name from Lumberjack) records. In fact, the labels were printed before they officially changed names, so it still says Lumberjack Records. If you're looking at thie auction, you probably already know that Commander Venus was Conor Oberst's (of Bright Eyes) first band project after having a few cassettes released under his own name on the Sing Eunuchs label. This particular record was recorded over a decade ago when he was 16. Commander Venus song is "Bow to the Prom King" and Drip contributes "Last Go."
Also included in this auction is a Commander Venus sticker as pictured, and an old Saddle Creek catalog from around the same time.
Beautiful blue vinyl in excellent shape, only listened to a few times.
I've had this record for quite some time, now it's your turn. I have put a moderate reserve on this record, about what I paid for it. One of these sold not too long ago for more than my weekly paycheck...
