Description

Up for auction is a rare original Jazz LP John Coltrane Blue Note 1577 from my duplicate Blue Note collection. The disc is in VG+/VG++ condition and has the ear mark , RVG stamped and BN-LP-1577-A or -B  9M etched on the dead wax. Deep Grooved on both side. It has no ® under the "E" and 47 West 63rd NYC on side 1 label and 47 west 63rd New York 23 on side 2 label. The cover is in VG++ condition, no tears on top and spine, 1 1/2 inch repaired on the bottom but it looks fine. It has some dent at the corners of the cover. In total this album would be in VG+ to VG++ condition. I believe this LP is one of the very 1st issue since it has no color characters "BLUE TRAIN" "john coltrane" printed. I have never seen this type of coloring and at the beginning I thought the color faded out but it was not the case. You will understand it easily if you see the No.6-No.8 pictures. A fold back part of the color in the No.8 picture shows a difference of the color. A color of the "john coltrane" on a cover of Blue Note 1577 is always in between Yellow and Green. But this one has no color. This is new find, isn't it? The bright color LP in the picture No.6 is not included in this auction.
