Description

Brand New.  Never Opened.  Never Played. Still Factory Sealed.  Unique vinyl LP. "Speaking in Tongues" by The Talking Heads Shrink wrapped plastic tray holds the vacu-formed record which features the design by celebrated American abstract  expressionist Robert Rauschenberg, who won a Grammy Award in 1983 for the album design. Know for his  "combines", in which materials were employed in various combinations, the album features a unique graphic design with separate, spinning layers of cyan, magenta and yellow. SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION, CONCEPT BY ROBERT RAUSCHENBERG is printed right on the original sticker  located in the top front right-hand corner.  Only 50,000 copies were produced due to the arduous production  process...which was eventually handled by the Oscar Meyer hot dog production company.   This is a pretty rare find that has been sitting on my shelf for 36 years.   It needs a new home where it will really be appreciated.
