Description

Clifford Brown Memorial Album Blue Note BLP 1526 Vinyl LP RARE

This record is an early repress of the 1953 album Memorial Album by trumpeter Clifford Brown. A US pressing on the Blue Note Label (BLP 1526), the record has "New York USA" on the side one label and is not deep groove, and has ?47 West Side 63rd NYC? on side two and is a deep groove. with hand-etched "RVG" and Plastylite "ear" in the run-out grove. Apart from a few scuffs, the record is of very good appearance and plays and sounds superb with some low level surface noise. The cover has rubbed with wear along the right-hand and top edges with a split toward the right-hand side of the latter.

Side 1 recorded August 28, 1953. Side 2 recorded June 9, 1953.
