Description
Clifford Brown (with Art Blakey, Philly Joe Jones, Lou Donaldson, Elmo Hope, Gigi Gryce, John Lewis, Percy Heath, etc.) MEMORIAL ALBUM Blue Note 1526, recorded 1953–54. 63d Street address on label; 61st Street on jacket. Deep groove on Side A only. “RVG” hand-cut and “ear” stamped into the dead wax of both sides. Glossy wraparound jacket is E+ / E: 2 ballpoint lines and one rubber stamp on reverse. Very little handling wear. Edges very strong save for the spine where the finish on glossy surface is beginning to crack slightly. Includes original catalog inner sleeve. Disc looks E+ and plays E+: a little chatter as side starts, but calms to a very quiet surface thereafter.
